Samsung dethrones Nokia, becomes No.1 in India's mobile market.
A recent survey by the reputed telecom magazine Voice & Data has revealed that South Korean technology giant Samsung has replaced Finnish handset maker Nokia as the largest mobile maker in India.
The survey says Samsung Electronics acquired 31.5 percent market share and Nokia got 27.2 percent during in the last fiscal year.
Samrtphone consumption in India has risen considerably in recent times and Samsung has clearly taken lead over its competitors in the Indian market.
Constant product innovation, impressive price range and sleek designs are said to be main reasons for Samsung taking lead over Nokia.
The Voice & Data survey that was conducted on 30 handset makers said "dual-SIM phones and Android platform made Samsung favourite among Indian consumers. Wherein Nokia failed on dual-SIM front which hurt it in the emerging market like India."
