Dhoom: 3 : Bad guy Aamir Khan roars

Dhoom: 3 trailer: Bad guy Aamir Khan roars

The makers of 'Dhoom:3' have found the pot of gold with this fast-paced action thriller. The box office business of the Aamir Khan-starrer (Hindi version) has reached Rs.211 crore and, looking at its pace, trade pundits predict it will soon cross the benchmark set by Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Chennai Express', which became the biggest grosser by earning Rs.216 crore.

Also starring Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, 'Dhoom:3' released on December 20th across 4,000 screens in the country. Estimated to be made on a budget of about Rs.100 crore, the film has been produced by Yash Raj Films.

Rajesh Thadani of Multimedia Combines told IANS: "'Dhoom:3' has collected around Rs.211 crore only in Hindi all over India. In other languages, the film has collected around Rs.10 crore."

The overseas collection of director Vijay Krishna Acharya's offering is also overwhelming.

"As far as overseas collection is concerned, the film has almost collected around Rs.100 crore, so in totality 'Dhoom: 3' has collected over Rs.300 crore, which is terrific in nine days," Thadani said.

If 'Dhoom:3', the third successful film in the "Dhoom" franchise, maintains its collection pace, then it will break the record of 'Chennai Express', according to Sanjay Ghai of Mukta Arts.

MS Dhoni’s return catch was big moment in the match: Kane Williamson

MS Dhoni’s return catch was big moment in the match: Kane Williamson New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson lauded his bowlers for drying up the runs during India’s chase in the second ODI here, terming Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s brilliant return catch by Tim Southee as a “big moment” in the match. When asked about how the bowlers and fielders responded while defending a low total, Williamson said: “Someone like MS Dhoni, he can finish matches when he is allowed to play his shots. He is the best in the world. That catch was big for us.” Williamson was happy with the manner his bowlers responded on a tricky surface and also gave an insight to how some adjustments led to the Indian skipper playing 37 dot balls. “On this kind of a surface (Kotla), scrapping was important. You needed to put the ball in areas where it’s tough to get away and try and build that pressure. It was an extremely good effort considering that the ball was damp due to dew factor.” Dhoni was cleverly
