Data is the new oil- nothing else can best describe the significance of data than these five words of Jio's head Mukesh Ambani. The need for internet data has been around for a very long time but in the last few years, especially after the debut of Jio in the telecom market, data has become the heart and soul of this industry.
Our phones are flooded with hundred of SMSes from respective SIM operators offering best and cheap data plans and these messages are delivered almost every day. Today there is a data plan for all kinds of users. From someone who is satisfied with just 1GB data per day to a user who requires more than 1GB data per day, telcos have something for everyone in their store.
Airtel, Idea, Jio and Vodafone- these are the famous four telecom companies currently operating in our country. There has been enough war and debate on the 1GB data offerings from these four companies. Jio has no 1GB data plan currently. The company has upgraded all 1GB plans to 1.5GB. Airtel offers the same at Rs 149. Idea also revise dits 1GB to 1.5GB data per day at Rs 309. Vodafone has Rs 198 to offer 1GB data per day.
Airtel Rs 349 plan: Airtel earlier offered unlimited all Local, STD and Roaming Calls, 2GB data per day data and 100 SMS per day for 28 days at Rs 349. The company has now revamped the plan to offer extra data benefit. User will now get 2.5GB data for 28 days under this plan. The data type can vary from 3G to 4G depending on the area.
Jio Rs 198, Rs 398 plan: Jio's Rs 198 is one of the cheapest 2GB data plan one can get. The pack offers unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day, 2GB data per day and complimentary subscription to Jio apps for 28 days. The same benefit can be availed for 70 days at Rs 398. Also, you get only 4G data with Jio.
Vodafone Rs 348 plan: Vodafone offers unlimited calls including free roaming and 2GB 3G/4G data per day at Rs 348. This plan was revised by the company last year. It earlier offered 1GB data per day. This means user gets 56GB data in total.
Idea Rs 357 plan: Idea silently revised its Rs 357 pan to offer 2GB data per day. The company earlier offered 1GB data. The plan offers unlimited calls, STD and roaming calls along with 2GB data and 100 SMS per day.
There is additional 100 per cent cash back offer and additional 1GB free internet for 28 days on recharge through My Idea App and Idea Website.
