Samsung Galaxy S9+ leaks in full glory ahead of February 25 launch

Samsung Galaxy S9+ leaks in full glory ahead of February 25 launch

We seem to know a lot about the Samsung Galaxy S9, but, information about the Galaxy S9+ is scarce. That's probably because traditionally the Plus variant of a Galaxy S phone hasn't offered too many extras, so, it's kind of understood that the Galaxy S9+ will offer a bigger screen and a bigger battery, and that's about all. Only Samsung maybe looking to add at least one more feature to the upcoming Galaxy S9+ to make it stand out when compared with the standard Galaxy S9. The feature in question is a dual camera system on the rear.
The current-generation Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ are practically the same phones only the latter is bigger and packs in a bigger battery. That's all the difference that there is to them. Samsung chose the Galaxy Note 8 for its dual camera gimmickry last year, so both the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+, came with the same single camera with all the same specs. With the Galaxy S9+, however, Samsung may be looking to give buyers another reason to invest in a bigger Galaxy S9: dual cameras. Although little is known about this dual camera system, we can expect it to carry the same primary sensor as the Galaxy S9 with the second sensor adding extra functionality.
Cases of the alleged Galaxy S9+ have hit the internet leaking Samsung's top-tier phone in its full glory. The cases suggest mere incremental upgrades to design which means the Galaxy S9+ is set to look almost identical to the Galaxy S8+, but, with a re-positioned fingerprint scanner that's set to lie below the camera module instead of being adjacent to it. While that's thoughtful, Samsung may not have given up on the dedicated Bixby button since, in the leaks, one can clearly make out that the Galaxy S9+ will have a physical Bixby button on the same place as the Galaxy S9. Hopefully, Samsung would let you remap it this time round.
Samsung will take the wraps off its next-generation flagship Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ phones on February 25, a day ahead of MWC 2018, the company has announced. Samsung is set to host its Galaxy Unpacked event in Barcelona on February 25 where it will launch the flagships for the global market. Price and availability specifics are expected to be announced at Unpacked and the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ should land in India soon after, hopefully sometime in March.
While it's widely known that the Galaxy S9 will be an iterative update -- to the Galaxy S8 -- in terms of all-round design, Samsung is looking to give its camera a major overhaul. As it should, since the company has been using the same setup for two yours in a row now. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy S9 will come with a re-imagined camera, hinting that the focus this time round will indeed be on the cameras. It Is being widely speculated that although the Galaxy S9 will ship with a single camera on the rear, the setup will come with a variable aperture lens. The Galaxy S9+ will probably use this as its primary sensor.

MS Dhoni’s return catch was big moment in the match: Kane Williamson

MS Dhoni’s return catch was big moment in the match: Kane Williamson New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson lauded his bowlers for drying up the runs during India’s chase in the second ODI here, terming Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s brilliant return catch by Tim Southee as a “big moment” in the match. When asked about how the bowlers and fielders responded while defending a low total, Williamson said: “Someone like MS Dhoni, he can finish matches when he is allowed to play his shots. He is the best in the world. That catch was big for us.” Williamson was happy with the manner his bowlers responded on a tricky surface and also gave an insight to how some adjustments led to the Indian skipper playing 37 dot balls. “On this kind of a surface (Kotla), scrapping was important. You needed to put the ball in areas where it’s tough to get away and try and build that pressure. It was an extremely good effort considering that the ball was damp due to dew factor.” Dhoni was cleverly
