Launched in June this year the low cost Lumia-like Nokia Asha 501 has seen the first price drop of its life. The phone which came to retail stores in the third week of June this year at a price of Rs. Rs 5199, has dropped by about 7.6 per cent.

This low-cost handset learns from the design of the premium and exciting Lumia range of smartphones from Nokia. It pushes the boundaries of bold coloured, better designed smartphones at an affordable price point.

It has got a camera of 3.2 megapixels and offers a battery of 1200 mAh which offers 48 days standby time and 17 hours talk time on a single SIM. The Asha 501 comes with Nokia Xpress Browser pre-loaded, which compresses Internet data by up to 90 per cent.
