Google’s Pixel smartphones to ship in India from Oct 25 onward Google recently launched it’s much-anticipated Pixel flagship on October 4, 2016. Pre-orders for the same went up shortly afterwards via major retailers such as Flipkart, Chroma, Reliance Digital and others. The search giant has now announced the shipping of the Pixel smartphones and it is not very far from today. ‘The future is exciting. And by future we mean 3 days from now. #Pixel will start reaching stores on 25 th  October #madebygoogle.’ Google India tweeted on yesterday. To recall, Google had announced at its October 4 event that India will be one of the first six countries including the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Germany to see the Pixel smartphones reaching the markets.

Banks recall over 32 lakh debit cards due to security breach More than 32 lakh debit cards of customers have been blocked or recalled by banks to prevent them from falling prey to any financial fraud after a major security breach at a payment services provider that manages ATM network of a private sector bank. While some of the banks like SBI have recalled around six lakh cards, others like Bank of Baroda, IDBI Bank, Central Bank and Andhra Bank have already replaced their debit cards, which are effected as a pre-emptive measure. We will launch all our future smartphones in this category across all segments," Manu Sharma, VP (mobile business) of Samsung India Electronics, said. Korean electronics major Samsung will launch only 4G/VoLTE enabled smartphones in India as the market has shifted totally towards this end, a company official said on Thursday. “While launching ‘My Galaxy’ app here, Mr. Sharma said the company would invest Rs. 2,000 crore at its Noida plant for increasing smartphone manufacturing capacity and other products. “This shows that Samsung is serious about the Indian market, where it is already enjoying 48.6 per cent market share in value terms in the smarphone segment [quoting the latest GfK report for August 2016],” he told reporters. “Samsung in India has a portfolio of 25 different smartphones, most of which are 4G-enabled,” he said.

The order from the U.S. Transportation Department and other agencies bars owners from carrying on the devices or stowing them in checked baggage during flights.
