Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ schematics reveal the rear camera design Samsung has sent out media invites for the Galaxy Unpacked event at MWC in Barcelona on February 25 where it will  launch  the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ flagship smartphones. Samsung is teasing major camera improvements with the tagline “Camera. Reimagined.” The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have been subject to multiple leaks in the last few months leaving little to imagination. The  Galaxy S9  and Galaxy S9+ are expected to be iterative updates with design similar to that of its predecessor. The South Korean company is expected to add minor tweaks with reduced chin on both the devices and the fingerprint sensor is now likely to be placed below the camera module. Jio vs Airtel vs Vodafone vs Idea: Top 2GB data per day plans compared

Jio vs Airtel vs Vodafone vs Idea: Top 2GB data per day plans compared Data is the new oil- nothing else can best describe the significance of data than these five words of Jio's head Mukesh Ambani. The need for internet data has been around for a very long time but in the last few years, especially after the debut of Jio in the telecom market, data has become the heart and soul of this industry. Our phones are flooded with hundred of SMSes from respective SIM operators offering best and cheap data plans and these messages are delivered almost every day. Today there is a data plan for all kinds of users. From someone who is satisfied with just 1GB data per day to a user who requires more than 1GB data per day, telcos have something for everyone in their store. Airtel, Idea, Jio and Vodafone- these are the famous four telecom companies currently operating in our country. There has been enough war and debate on the 1GB data offerings from these four companies. Jio has

Apple Wants You to Put Your Medical Records on the iPhone

Apple Wants You to Put Your Medical Records on the iPhone Imagine this: you're on vacation and slip and fall at the pool. You head to the hospital, where doctors ask if you're taking any medications or have had any recent medical procedures. Instead of trying to recall the names of all your pills or your medical history while in pain, you easily pull up your medical record on your phone. Apple , the tech giant that has been hungrily eyeing the healthcare sector for years, announced Wednesday it would soon allow people in certain hospital systems to tether their medical records to their  iPhones , getting easy access to seven categories of information, including immunisations, lab results or allergies. The medical records capability will roll out through a beta available to the general public in the coming months. It's an update of a less sophisticated medical records function in Apple's Health app. Previously, people could download specific medical records a

Price war: Now, Jio cuts feature phone recharge value to Rs 49

Price war: Now, Jio cuts feature phone recharge value to Rs 49 Reliance Jio on Thursday initiated yet another price war — its third during the month — by slashing the minimum recharge value of its 4G feature phone to Rs 49 per month from the earlier Rs 153. As is known, this phone is targeted towards 2G feature phone users and comes for free in the sense that subscribers need to pay a refundable security deposit of Rs 1,500 which they would get back after three years, if they return the phone after using it. Last year in August, when Jio phone was launched for a Rs 153 recharge value, it offered 0.5 GB data per day. In early January, the data limit was raised to 1 GB per day. Now, by lowering the recharge value to Rs 49, Jio has reduced the data limit to 1GB a month. However, subscribers who are interested in higher data limit of 1 GB a day can recharge for Rs 153 per month. By lowering the minimum recharge value to Rs 49, the company has basically given those users who ar

Xiaomi beats Samsung to be top phone company in India: 5 reasons why it is number 1

Xiaomi beats Samsung to be top phone company in India: 5 reasons why it is number 1 The unthinkable has happened. At least, according to two market research agencies. Counterpoint and Canalys that track smartphone market in India have said that Xiaomi was the top phone seller here in the latest quarter. Yearly -- and that is the whole 2017 -- Samsung sold the highest number of phones but in the latest quarter, Xiaomi edged past the Korean company. According to Counterpoint, Xiaomi managed to get 25 per cent market share in the Q4, 2014 in the Indian smartphone market, 2 per cent more than Samsung's 23 per cent. In the same duration, according Canalys Xiaomi had a market share of 27 per cent, again 2 per cent more than Samsung's 25 per cent. Now the reports are from two research agencies and we know that data of different research agencies can vary. This is why Samsung is disputing these reports and continues to claim that it is still number 1 in the country. In a

Samsung Galaxy S9+ leaks in full glory ahead of February 25 launch

Samsung Galaxy S9+ leaks in full glory ahead of February 25 launch We seem to know a lot about the Samsung Galaxy S9, but, information about the Galaxy S9+ is scarce. That's probably because traditionally the Plus variant of a Galaxy S phone hasn't offered too many extras, so, it's kind of understood that the Galaxy S9+ will offer a bigger screen and a bigger battery, and that's about all. Only Samsung maybe looking to add at least one more feature to the upcoming Galaxy S9+ to make it stand out when compared with the standard Galaxy S9. The feature in question is a dual camera system on the rear. The current-generation Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ are practically the same phones only the latter is bigger and packs in a bigger battery. That's all the difference that there is to them. Samsung chose the Galaxy Note 8 for its dual camera gimmickry last year, so both the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+, came with the same single camera with all the same specs.

Modi government has bad news for Indians dreaming of easy money via bitcoins

Modi government has bad news for Indians dreaming of easy money via bitcoins  Bitcoin, the cryptocurrency that has become the craze all over the world, is a hit with a lot of Indians too. More than $3.5 billion worth of transactions in the cryptocurrency have been conducted in India over a 17-month period, according to the income tax department. Bitcoin has the allure of any Ponzi scheme with a get-rich-quick promise. Additionally, it can be a new opportunity for hoarders of black money.  The profiles of common investors in Bitcoin prove this. They are tech-savvy young investors, real estate players and jewellers, tax officials told Reuters.  But the government won't let Bitcoin trap the honest investors or help the black-money industry. While governments across world are not sure what to do with Bitcoin, the Indian government has swiftly acted to rein in Bitcoin and other such currencies. The income tax department has sent tax notices to tens of thousands of people dealing in
